Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Services

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine provides a full array of services essential for patient management, including disease diagnosis, therapeutic monitoring, support for surgical intervention and the provision of blood and blood products. Employing analytic methods that detect abnormalities in organs, tissues, cells and body fluids, the department contributes significantly to patient care in every medical specialty. With more than 90 full-time faculty members, the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC is one of the largest departments of its kind in the United States.
