Treatments for Tennis Elbow
In minor cases, initial treatment for tennis elbow includes rest for at least two to three weeks from the aggravating activity, ice, elevation and anti-inflammatory medicine. Doctors may recommend cortisone injections or platelet rich plasma (PRP) to the region.
Additionally, athletes with tennis elbow may need to make changes in technique and change equipment or the amount of time they play. Physical therapy will help restore a full range of motion, increase strength and minimize pressure on the muscles of the forearm.
