Treatment for Rotator Cuff

With time, rotator cuff injuries can heal by being treated with anti-inflammatory medicine, limited activity and physical therapy. However, most rotator cuff injuries require surgery to fully heal and are most successful and young adults who have acute, traumatic tears. When this occurs, doctors can make repairs through an open incision or use arthroscopy, a minimally invasive procedure, to make small incisions around the shoulder and insert a tiny camera to guide them through surgery. Sutures that are secured to bone using metallic screws can be placed into the tendon via arthroscopy to treat the torn tendon.
