Bariatric Surgery with Long-Term Support
The USC Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Program uses a team approach to help you achieve long-term success. Our surgeons are experts with techniques such as sleeve gastrectomy and Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, but we don’t stop there. We know that reaching and maintaining your goals takes support in making lifestyle changes. Your full-spectrum team includes:
- Surgeons
- Endocrinologists
- Dietitians
- Social workers
- Psychologists
- Psychiatrists
- Nurses
This collaboration helps you maintain results and achieve long-term improvements for metabolic disorders.
Our surgeons also help patients who need revisions of past surgeries. This includes lap-band conversion, SADI-S, BPD/DS and revisions for complications and weight gain.
Join our Bariatric Surgery Support Group
Our bariatric surgery program includes a support group for patients. Support groups are run by a psychologist, program coordinator or dietitian.
In a support group, you’ll find people who have similar wellness goals, want to celebrate your successes, and support you in challenging times. Support groups are devoted to these common experiences, so you can share your feelings in a safe environment.
Keck Medicine of USC support groups are held 6-7 p.m. at:
1520 San Pablo St., HC2
Los Angeles, CA 90033-4612
Lower Level Boardroom 1304
You can call for more information about our bariatric surgery support groups at (323) 442-5987.
